The development of health science and technology is an important basis for improving the health of the public. With the public's demand for health, the government's support, and the promotion of industry, health science and technology have developed rapidly, with new theories, new fields, and new technologies emerging constantly, promoting the improvement of health level. This paper summarizes funding and planning for health technologies in countries around the world in 2019, and analyzes the main development trends and important progress of health science and technology globally. From the perspective of national strategic planning, countries all over the world have always given a priority to health science and technology in national development strategy and have continued to invest large amounts of money. From the perspective of the development of health science and technology, the following five development trends are generally presented: 1) Technological innovation is accelerating, existing technologies continue to be optimized, and emerging technologies emerge frequently, providing more and more support for the development of healthy science and technology; 2) The understanding of life, health and disease has transformed from a local and individual level to a systematic and collective level, and the breadth and depth of knowledge have been greatly enhanced; 3) The transformation, bionics, regeneration and creation of life gradually becomes a reality, bringing new solutions for the treatment of diseases; 4) New treatment methods keep emerging, and disease treatment is increasingly precise and intelligent; 5) More attention has been paid to the role of nutritional interventions in disease prevention and control. From the perspective of health industry development, the development of emerging technologies and new diagnostic and treatment methods has put forward new requirements for regulatory approval. Many countries are actively optimizing their regulatory policies and systems to promote the standardized use of health technologies and the orderly development of the health industry. Finally, this paper puts forward two suggestions for the future development of this field in China, namely, to systematically arrange the international hot frontier as soon as possible and to improve the regulatory policy and ethical regulation system.
