Abstract:

Basic research is the source of the whole scientific system, and the global competition in science and technology is moving forward to basic research. In this paper,643 papers in the field of basic research funding and management from 1992 to 2021 collected in the Web of Science database are selected as research samples, and the Scientific Knowledge Graph approach is used to reveal the research status, hot spots, and trends in this field. To provide an academic reference for the theory and practice of basic research funding and management in China. The research shows that the current research hotspots in this field are mainly the dialectical relationship between basic research and applied research, the input of basic research, the output of basic research and subjects of basic research, and bibliometric analysis, scientometric analysis, and data envelopment analysis are widely used. Future research in this field may focus on the dialectical interaction between basic research and applied research, the subject of basic research and its cooperative development, and the impact of basic research activities and influencing factors.
